In consultation with gym owners it was learned that there was
no satisfactory exercise machine capable of duplicating actual
swim strokes to strengthen swimming muscles. |

Paul
Hughes a California inventor who had developed a hand held
exercise device based on adjustable friction resistance which
was later picked up and marketed by NordicTractm,
was engaged to see if he could design a larger
version using the same concept. |

After
over a year of work The Incredible Swimulator finally
received two U.S. patents plus patents in Israel and 20 other
countries. |
|

patents are now the property of Joshua Engineering, Bob Plimpton,
owner. |
